Please bench test the rod prior to installing in your neck. We check all before packaging to ship but its a good ideal to double check the function yourself before installing. Issues are very few. Test the rod by placing each end of the rod in a vise and moving the rod in a normal motion and check the rod function. After you install the rod can be difficult to remove/repair.
